I have recently graduated from West Virginia University with a Master's degree in computer Science. I started working as a french fry specialist at Burger King, then promoted to making delicious sandwiches at Dining Services. For some degree-related experience and to stay away from food, I worked as a Graduate Assistant for a year as the typical IT Guy.
The unending buzz in my head to solve bigger and smarter problems did not let me rest there until I worked as Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Tim Menzies. I tried to learn underlying patterns in JPL, NASA's software project data and teach machines to automate future decisions. Part of my thesis, CrossTrees, assisted with the same. Check my presentation for a brief discussion on it.
I am currently looking to work with a small team on big problems.
I let this site be my address in the organized chaos of interwebs. Please feel free to poke around!
List of projects I have worked on:
  1. CrossTrees: Machine learning algorithm to find and test patterns in large and small data sets.
  2. TEAK on nbtree: Testing essential assumption knowledge on naive-bayes tree.
  3. Modeller: Encased modeller to simulate metrics on software projects. Currently supports POM3 and XOMO.
  4. Miner: Machine learning framework to aid command line statistics on data.
  5. Weatheranal: Pig script to read large weather dataset. Written for Amazon's EMR and S3.
  6. ManiacMonitor: Simple motion detection system using webcam.
  7. CrypTransfer: End-to-end encrypted file transfer system on chord-overlay network.
You have a lot of data and need help to figure out what it can do for you,
If you are part of a startup, and have time to spare telling your story,
If you are a security guy and want to talk sys admin,
Or you have an idea and need tech help to make it a reality,
ping me.
